AIAA Foundation Classroom Grant Program

Amount: Up to $500

Submissions open October 1, 2019 and go through January 17, 2020

The AIAA Foundation’s mission states that one of the most significant means to inspire and advance the future of Aerospace is to fund grants to meet the unmet and unfunded educational need of students. Each school year, AIAA awards grants of up to $500 to worthy projects that significantly influence student learning.

ASM Materials Education Foundation

Amount: $500

Submissions accepted: Until May 25th every year and then submissions after that rollover to next year

The ASM Materials Education Foundation awards 20 grants of $500 annually to help K-12 teachers bring the real world of materials science into their classrooms. "Living in a Material World" grants recognize teacher creativity. Members of ASM International know how rewarding it is to develop and produce the metals, glasses, ceramics, semiconductors, and polymers that are at the heart of all new systems. Students, however, often learn about materials science too late for effective career planning. That's why the ASM Foundation is committed to working with and supporting teachers through "Living in a Material World" K-12 teacher grants.

Grants For Grades K - 5

Amount: Maximum $1,000

Submissions accepted: Until October 1st every year

  • Do you teach in an elementary school classroom?

  • Do you have an innovative idea for improving math or science instruction in your classroom?

  • Is your idea project-based learning with measurable outcomes?

  • What do you need to make learning math and science fun for your students?

K-5 grade teachers are invited to apply online for a $1,000 Toshiba America Foundation grant to help bring an innovative hands-on project into their own classroom.

McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation

Amount: Maximum $10,000

Submissions accepted: January 15 – April 15

It is the McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation’s goal to promote best practices through cooperative and sustained commitment to increased efficacy, improved teaching and active learning. As such, the Foundation values proposals aimed at concurrently boosting student understanding and proficiency and instilling a passion for lifelong learning. The Teacher Development Grants support small teams of teachers in the formation and implementation of groundbreaking K-12 classroom instruction. The grants provide opportunities for teachers to integrate fresh strategies that encourage critical inquiry and to observe their effects on students.

Amount: You state your project amount + materials

Submissions accepted: Always open and reviewed quarterly 

“Educators of America are driven to not only supply teachers and educators with the classroom technology they need, but also train them to use it in the most effective ways possible. If you are a teacher that is in need of an effective technological tool that will assist in bettering student achievement, not only in your classroom, but throughout your entire institution, take the time to fill out our grant application. Our classroom technology grant applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis and responses are given accordingly (January, April, July, October).”

Association of American Educators Foundation Classroom Grant

Amount: Up to $500

Submissions accepted: The autumn deadline is October 1st and the spring deadline is March 1st.

Classroom grants can be used for a variety of projects and materials, including but not limited to books, software, calculators, math manipulatives, art supplies, audio-visual equipment, and lab materials. Funds must be used within one year of the application deadline.
